In a world still without the iPhone, two years ago, Samsung had announced a cell phone with a gargantuan 8 megapixel camera, and just a few months ago, the thinnest 8 megapixel cellphone module. Today, it looks like Samsung is finally ready to make 8 megapixel cameras the standard in their mobile phones, with their new device, the i8510. Samsung i8510 - ZerOne MagazineThe i8510’s camera features flash powered by two LEDs, and the ability to shoot video at 120fps in QVGA resolution. Casio EX-Z150; world’s slimmest digital camera with wide-angle zoom lens

Casio has added a new ultra-thin point-and-shoot in their Exilim lineup, the EX-Z150. Measuring a mere 20.1 mm in thickness, Casio said that the EX-Z150 is the world’s slimmest digital camera touting a wide-angle 28 mm 4x optical zoom lens.

But that is not to say that the EX-Z150 falls short in terms of features. On the contrary, this snapper is loaded with high-end features such as an 8.1 megapixel CCD resolution, CCD-shift anti-shake function, face detection technology, 3-inch high resolution LCD monitor, support for various media card formats including SD/SDHC, MultiMediaCard, Multi MediaCard plus, video recording in AVI and MPEG formats, 64-1600 ISO sensitivity and its Li-ion battery can take up to 280 still images per full charging time.

This new Exilim is available in silver, black, red, pink and green colors.

BenQ intro’s world’s slimmest 8-megapixel T850 camera

BenQ has just launched its latest digital camera offering, and boy can we just say that it sure is slim. In fact this ultra-compact camera, dubbed the T850 may just be the slimmest in the crowd so far at only 14.9mm thick. But no matter how much we convince you that this baby is as sleek as it can get, we know that you would rather know about its features and functionality. Luckily, the T850 delivers a nice little punch that might drive you to consider getting one as soon as it becomes available.
BenQ T850 - ZerOne Magazine
The T850 packs good features such as a high 1600 ISO sensitivity, 3x optical zoom, 3-inch TFT LCD, 8.0-megapixel CCD sensor and SD/SDHC media support. But aside from these features, what makes BenQ T850 stand out among the crop of digital cameras in its line is its touch screen feature which would allow you to access camera functions by finger tapping, encircling or swiping. And yes, for a digital camera which employs actual “swiping” gesture to view photos, the T850 hits one mark on this one.
All these nifty features add up to other equally good features of the camera which include, “smile catch” technology, auto face tracking, Z lighting, advanced photo art, scribble and scrawl and quick bar.
If only BenQ has already announced the T850’s pricing and availability details, we might already be saving up for it.
